Sailing last night, I was reminded of how gorgeous the Lake is, but also how wild and unpredictable. The early evening brought a gorgeous sunset and light breezes, however as the full moon rose the winds picked up to 20 knots. Our motor died on us on the way back in to shore. Captain Marty and Captain Brian were working hard together to sail us back in. Captain Marty decided to call for help and the Chicago Police Marine Unit towed us back into to the harbor side by side to us. What an adventure. It woke us all up. It made me very grateful for the skill and ability of both captains to act quickly and bring us home. Thanks to you both!
